A Quickie

Tonight's class was all about kata. The kyu ranks went through some of their kata, then we went over seiunchin bunkai. After that, Josh taught the blue belts the first part of niahanchi kata, and Barrett taught the brown belts the first part of kusanku kata. I was the only one left not doing anything, so sensei and I went over kusanku sai and agena no sai. That was it for class.

Before class, though, I went over all of my empty hand kata back to back. Full speed and full focus. That, folks, is a workout in itself. I was sweating before class even started. After class, I went over my two bo kata.

When not attending class, I spent the afternoon knitting and spinning while watching Magnum P.I. on DVD. Tom Selleck has been appearing on Las Vegas lately. I don't watch that show, but he is enough to convince me--almost. I'll tell you what, he may be 63 years old, but he's still got it.

Keep your eyes on this space. I feel a contest coming on. I've got a prize picked out. I've got an idea. Now I just need to get my act together.

I don't normally watch Las Vegas either, but I would if Tom was appearing. I love his "Jesse Stone" series. I think a new one will come out soon.

I'm not quite sure how to take that. I'm not the type who sees offense in anything/everything, yet still...there may be something here... ;-)

Lou, he's a regular on it now. His character bought the casino or something.

Buck, present company excepted of course, but by the early 60s most people have gained weight and wrinkles, and have lost hair and looks. Not everyone, but most people. While there are a good many men who remain handsome well into their 60s and 70s, there aren't that many who are still hot at that age. As in hot enough to make this heart pound.

Present company excepted, of course!

:D

Oh I get it...you invoke the name of TS and expect me to come running, is that how it works eh? ;-)

Yours truly has been Hooked On TomTerrific since 1980 when Magnum first premiered. Or did you never visit my dorm room at HSU? 8-)

Hey Patch! I knew that would be one way to get you out of the woodwork!

Oh yes, I remember your dorm room, and your pledge book! And hey, guess what I found the other day. Yep, pictures of Tommy and Martha that you sent to me. That was when Gregory Jason came to stay with you while I was in basic training.

Ahh, the memories.
