Turns out that yesterday's fire was a controlled burn. Nothing exciting--unless it suddenly becomes uncontrolled. But as that didn't happen, nothing to see here.
Don't you just love when they tell you or you find out "after the fact"? We had one here yesterday, which they had to tell everyone on the news about it so people would stop calling in! Or...maybe they are just testing us and our "alertness"?

Good to hear everything is Okee-Dokee. We're in high fire danger season at the moment, and our winds exacerbate the situation considerably. My fingers have been crossed for a week or two, now...
Robin, if I hadn't asked a co-worker, I still wouldn't know what it was! But I don't take the local paper, and rarely watch the news, either. They may have announced it and I just missed it.
Jessica, it was worrisome. I'm glad to find out it was under control.
Buck and Ashley, we don't have as much danger of wildfire here as y'all do out there. But I guess the hurricanes and tornadoes make up for it.
Diva, you got that right! I sat down to blog, and after the news about the fire, I came up totally empty. It's just one of those days.

Very glad it wasn't something worse. That had to be scary to see so close to home.

I am glad it was a controlled burn. Fire danger is high here too. The rain helped some.
LOL. Looks like everyone is uninspired today, me included. My girls took karate also, I have a few stories to tell.
