One Down

Three to go. I knit the majority of this charity scarf in two days. It was a lot of mindless garter stitch; fortunately I had some good--and some not so good--football games to watch while plugging away at it. And some Journeyman reruns.

I've got one more football game to watch, then regular season will be over. All I have left are bowl games and playoffs. Then it will be over.

Sigh, what am I going to do with myself until August?

Things can't be too happy and content around your place today, Becky. Sorry about them Cowboys. But they are going to the play-offs, so all isn't lost, right?

I keep tellin' ya: Hockey. Goes til mid-June. As far as action goes, comparing hockey to football is like comparing skateboarders to sumo wrestlers. Grace, speed, athleticism and all that...compared to bulked-up, steroid-ridden freaks. But I'm being VERY unfair to the sumo community. No steroids there, AFAIK.

Oops. I shouldn't have... ;-)

I'm pretty lucky. I was a college basketball fan before I really got into football.

What about Battlestar Galactica? Are you a Sci-Fi fan?

Robin, baseball is ok, but I've never much gotten into basketball, even college ball.

Buck, I've tried and tried, but hockey bores me. It is so dull. I've come to the conclusion that people must watch hockey only for the fights. If fighting is what you want, just watch football, where every play is its own little fight. Come on, there is more grace, speed, and athleticism in figure skating--which is redeemed only by its artistic factor.

If you think there is no steroid use among hockey players, they just haven't been caught yet.

Opal, I do like some sci-fi, but I don't think any stations carry Battlestar Galactica. I've got lots of Star Trek on my nexflix queue, though. That ought to hold me over for a while.

P.S. I don't feel too badly about the Cowboys. I mean, their second and third string playing against the opponent's starters. What else can you expect? The Colts emptied their bench also and lost as well. It happens.
