Then I'll buy you some instrument lessons so you can play in the Cowboys band."

That's pretty cool, a kid who aspires to change career FROM head of football, TO band member.
Has Cody seen the flick "Mr. Holland's Opus" yet? I'm a former band geek myself and it's one of my faves.
I think the local high school has something to do with that. The band has won just about every award that exists. They have marched in the Macy's parade and the Rose Bowl parade. They are just flat good.
The football program, on the other hand, has always been mediochre at best. I think they won 2 games this year. They won 3 last year, so they are headed downhill.
We love that movie. I have it on tape, but the tape is messed up. I need to get it on DVD.
