Cutting Up Deer Meat

If you're faint of heart, or of stomach, you might want to skip this one...

I'm ready, just hand me a knife...

Well, are ya gonna let me cut or not?

Yeah, finally, a sharp object and something to use it on.

This is fun.

Where's my meat?

The end result

MMM MMM good!

Looks good -- I'm pretty jealous right now. ;) Do you ever make summer sausage? Mmmmm, I love me some venison summer sausage!

I'm not fond of deer meat, although Jesse made some great jerky one time. I will eat it, but not my favorite.

I love venison! My son provided me with a huge summer sausage and a big bag of jerky! I do a lot of hunting but I never have hunt deer. My son Jeremy, on the other hand, stays in the woods during deer season!

Never tried deer, snake meat (sorry Bec), buffalo, or any other game meats but I would, at least once. MMMMMM meat.

In the photo it just looks like ordinary beef...which of course we all know comes originally from the grocery store and wrapped in plastic and styrofoam. ;-)

Sus, I don't remember ever making summer sausage. Most of the meat is either tenderloin or ground up.

Lou, I like deer meat ok, but I'm not that fond of rabbit.

Dale, I've never been deer hunting either. I've been squirrel and rabbit hunting, but not deer. My cousins keep us supplied in meat. He's killed 4 or 5 already this year.

Patti, I've eaten deer, rabbit, squirrel, buffalo, elk, duck, goose, and goat--in addition to beef, pork, and chicken. I think the buffalo was my favorite. Like you, I'll try anything once.

I do like venison, very much, but then being from Alaska and eating a lot of Moose and other wild game in my time. I'm an avid wild game eater.
Codi looks like He is really enjoying that!

Boy...Cody looks serious!!! I LOVE venison! We just finished off the last of my Venison BBQ last night. No hunters in the family but have plenty who offer us meat that I NEVER turn down!
