Photos Of The Day

Rylea and Snow surprised each other. Interestingly enough, Rylea seemed more scared of Snow than Snow did of Rylea. Snow stayed calm; Rylea came and hid behind me.

Maple tree and dilapidated barn. This is the same tree I posted yesterday. On a tip from Buck, I googled and believe that this might be a Maple tree instead of a sweet gum, as I had originally posted.

A sketch from a month ago. Stacked bins.

It is the beginning of cold and flu season. I think sometimes teeth are bothered by sinus problems.

I was only semi-serious about the maple tree. I can recognize the following trees three out of four times without fail: pine, oak, maple, birch and weeping willow. Get beyond those and I'm entirely clue-free.

Love that photo of the dog...the curiosity on her face is adorable!

"Snow"? Is s/he a new one, or have I forgotten one of your reptilian friends?

Lou, you are right. Sinus pressure often makes my teeth hurt. In this case, with all three of us, it has been ongoing problems that just coincidentally happened to flare up at the same time.

Buck, you may have been only semi-serious, but I believe you are right. I compared the leaves of that tree to the leaves of a known sweet gum tree--verified by the presence of sweet gum balls--and they are not the same. I can identify several trees, but sweet gum and maple always confuse me.

Patti, Snow is not new. I've had her for three years now. I don't have any new snakes--at least not for the last 18 months or so. I suppose I need to do a snake update soon.
