A Football Post

The thing about college football is that you watch these teams, get all attached to the players, then they graduate and are scattered to the four winds. The team that we knew so well, that we enjoyed watching so much simply doesn't exist any more.

Matt Flynn is in Green Bay.
Early Doucet is in Arizona.
Glen Dorsey is in Kansas City.
Craig Steltz is in Chicago.
Chevis Jackson is in Atlanta
Keith Zinger is also in Atlanta.

Jonathan Zenon and Ali Highsmith are not playing due to injuries, though Ali is on IR in Arizona.

And Jacob Hester, whom I once promised to name my next child after, is in San Diego.

They will never all be together again.

Now, we have a new LSU team. Some of the old folks are back--Brandon Lafell, Demetrius Byrd, Colt David, and a personal favorite of mine, Trindon Holliday. But this year, more of them will graduate.

And they will be scattered as well.

But that's college football for ya.

I totally agree. I can follow their NFL careers, but it is still not the same.
