Pathetic

I didn't really expect them to win. Not with half a team. Not against the defending Super Bowl champions.

But this was just pitiful.

Sad.

Depressing.

The defense, which stood so tough last week against Tampa Bay, was this week as porous as a sieve. The offense, well, we didn't expect much from them to begin with, but it finally got to the point that I was cheering each first down, and Lord knows there were few enough of them.

The one highlight of the game: an interception by rookie cornerback Mike Jenkins returned for a touchdown.

Yes, things look bad for the Dallas Cowboys. Once Superbowl favorites, now they will be lucky just to make the playoffs.

Nevertheless, we lifelong fans, we faithful few, we must persevere. We must remember, it could be worse.

We could be Detroit fans.

*L* I have a friend who's a Detroit fan. It is indeed a good reminder that I'm not in her shoes!

Yes, we Cowboy fans are a spoiled lot, are we not?
