Chats On The Farmhouse Porch

Those of you who actually read my blog more than once a week may have noticed that I didn't post yesterday.  There is a good reason for that. And what was that reason, you may ask?

Well, I'll tell you.  I didn't have anything to say.

I sat down at my computer and tried to blog, but I had nothing.  There was a time when I would have posted something -- anything-- just to have a post up, but I've gotten past that now.  It's better to skip a day or two than to post filler.

Anyway, that's where I was, and now let's Chat.

1.  Do you have a vegetable garden this year? Have you in previous years?

No, I've never had a vegetable garden.  My brother Russell was our big gardener in the family.  He used to go to Mammaw's house and put in a huge garden every year.  I've never been that interested in them.  I prefer flower beds.

2.  What is your computer sitting on right now? Desk, dining room table, lap...

The end table beside my recliner.

3.  Do you go shorter with your hair in the summer?

Not usually.  It's too easy to just put it up into a braid or bun than to have to worry about styling short hair.

4.  Are you an early to bed person, or a night owl?

Well, since I usually (in the summer) get up in an hour that begins with the numeral 4, I'd say I'm pretty much an early to bed person.  Even when it's the slow season at work and we aren't getting so much overtime, I'm still usually in bed by 10:00 PM.

5.  Tell me something funny. I'll tell you something funny too. :)

I can't really think of anything funny right now.  Work has been hectic and exhausting, and it's rained so much that I don't really want to do anything after work.  Not that I'm a get out and go kind of person anyway.  There was one thing, though...

Yesterday I was asking Group Leader Fernando if we needed to come in to work early again this morning.  I said, "I was perusing our schedule for tomorrow and noticed that we have a lot of [really hard stuff].  I think it would behoove the brazers to come in early."  He kept laughing, and I couldn't figure out why.  Then I remembered that people who work in factories generally don't use words like behoove, peruse, and Hadron Super collider in casual conversation.

Oh, wait.  This here is pretty funny:

I giggle every time I see it.

I saw that goat video the other day and laughed so much!!!! So funny!

When I look back at my blog, there were spells and I blogged every day, and then I just dried up. So I stopped - like you, I thought I was better stopping rather than posting rubbish. I'm now back to see if I have the inspiration back again :)
Nice to 'meet' you :)
