While it was off the needles, I thought I'd take a moment to spread it out and show you how it's progressing.
Jake says, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."
Rylea says, "Serves the little bugger right."
I consoled myself by making cookies. I got this recipe off of the cookie stamp package. Of course, I make it with flax seed instead of eggs, so mine have little brown flecks in them. I thought about adding food coloring to them, too, but decided not to go that far.
Since Rod likes peanut butter, I made some of those, too.
They didn't work as well with the stamps. If I make them again, next time I'll leave out the baking powder so they don't puff up so much.
And while all this was going on, I watched football, naturally. Texas handled Central Florida easily.
Gratuitous Colt McCoy photo:
Navy defeated Notre Dame. Woo Hoo! Go Navy! LSU didn't fare so well, though. They were making a game of it until quarterback Jordan Jefferson was knocked out of the game with an ankle injury, and Charles Scott left with a shoulder injury. Alabama won 24-15, and clinched the SEC West. They will meet Florida in the SEC title game, with the winner of that game going on to the National Championship. If Texas wins out, and they should, they will face the SEC champ in that game.
The Iowa Hawkeyes lost also. The only reason that is significant is that now there is one less undefeated team in College football. The six remaining undefeated teams are Florida, Texas, Alabama, Cincinnati, TCU, and Boise State.
Now I have to go put sheets on the bed so I can get into it.

I've had the puppy teeth get into my crocheting. What a mess! The cookies look go, though.
Wow, I kinda sorta remember when Rylea (and even Cutter John) was the itty bitty puppy! They grow up fast dont they?
Lou, yes! I'm just glad it wasn't worse than it was.
Patch, yep, they do grow up fast. It's hard for me to believe that Rylea is 2 1/2 years old. It seems just last summer that we got her. Cutter John, now HE was a good dog if ever there was one! I still miss him--and Katie, too.
