The last regular season football game was played last night. Several games had been postponed due to heavy rains last Friday, including the local high school. I didn't go. I felt that what with me still battling this cough, I didn't really need to be out in the chilly air.
When I went to go pick up Cody, he told me that they'd won, 17-14. Since they'd won three games in their division, they get to go to the playoffs. Then he told me the bad news...
Their first opponent is South Panola.
"Oh well," I said. "It was good while it lasted."
