My New Favorite Song

I'd heard references to it. I'd read quotes from it. I'd even heard a bit of the melody.  But it wasn't until I saw someone singing it on an episode of The Cafe Saturday night that I realized, "Hey, that's  a real song!"

Off to YouTube I went, and found it pretty quickly.  I think now it is my new favorite song.  



I sang it all day long.  And I do mean all day long.  By lunch time, I was really wishing I could remember more of the words, if you know what I mean.


The big news is, I got a huge chunk of my Christmas shopping done, and I've started knitting the other half.  I'm going to go ahead and post photos, since none of the recipients read my blog.  Except Beverly checks in from time to time, but she's not really an I've-got-to-be-surprised kind of person, so it's OK.

What I usually do is to buy bath gel, lotion, etc. from the Avon clearance book, then knit a washcloth to go with them.  This year, it's going to be a Christmas theme.   All the bath stuff I ordered has holiday scents and Christmas packaging, so I'm knitting Christmassy cloths to go with them.  I got the first one done last night.

I've got several more patterns, too.  They won't be all this one.

I decided to do them all in natural cotton instead of dyed.  They will all fade eventually, so I think it would look better if they just start off plain.

The small news is, I have no idea what to get the guys on my list.  I'll get to that when I get to it. 

I'm open to suggestions, though.
