When I was in the Navy, one of my shipmates used to say that it was raining cows and elephants.
You know, that's like when it's raining cats and dogs, only harder.
The plan was to get up and go to Southaven to see Amy, but she sent me a text this morning to tell me it was raining cows and elephants up there. Then she posted on FB saying they'd already gotten like 5 inches, and it was still raining.
Needless to say, we decided to postpone our visit.
With my plans thrown out the window, I ended up staying home and finishing with the Christmas decorations. We had some discussion on FB about overdoing it with the decor, but I don't think I overdo. I mean I've got a lot of stuff out, but it's not overrunning the house.
Now, when I first moved here, Beverly and James took me by this one house, and I just sat there in the car, stunned at what I saw. It seemed that every inch of available space on the house, and in the yard was filled with something lighted, spinning, or cheesy. I wish I'd taken a picture.
I don't do much on the outside of my house. I have a wreath hung on the front door, but no lights or anything.
Anyway, that's what I did mostly, besides watching Christmas movies and knitting.
Oh, and yes, yes I did toast gingerbread marshmallows over my stove on a knitting needle.

We don't usually decorate much if at all for Christmas. But I love Christmas music.
