Buck, you did. The jr high and high school share the same band program-- and thus the same instruments. This way, they are able to do a lot more than most 8th grade bands.
It also means they keep the same teachers. Each grade has a different band director, but each instrument group keeps the same teacher throughout the entire band program. Cody's low brass teacher is Mr. Presley. He's had him since 6th grade, and unless Mr. P moves (unlikely) he will be Cody's teacher until he graduates. I think that is one reason the band program here is so successful.

They sound really nice! I played in the band in eighth grade, a clarinet, this sure brings back memories!
