I know you don't live on the coast, Becky, but I think the most uncomfortable summer I *ever* spent in my life was on the MS Gulf Coast, 1964, tech training at Keesler AFB, living in a barracks with NO air conditioning. It was so miserably hot you simply couldn't sleep; I used to look forward to school because it was air conditioned. Ah...memories!
