been four days since I blogged? When I first started the blog, I lived by the admonition that if you're going to blog, then blog. I was sure to post something every day--barring any unforeseen circumstances, that is--even if it was just a quiz or a link. I viewed my blog as a way of keeping in touch. Of sitting down with my readers over a cup of coffee (which I don't drink, but you get the idea) and saying, "How was your day?" It was a conversation with friends.
Lately, however, Facebook has taken over that role more and more, and the blog has kind of fallen by the wayside. That, and my life just isn't all that interesting. OK, there's been stuff going on. Remember this post? The one where I said I just wanted to keep walking? Well, things have only gotten worse since that day. It's family stuff, and I don't want to go into it here, but it has left me with little desire to update the blog.
But throughout all the craziness, the one constant has been my knitting. I got a few more squares added to the Friendship Blankie.
And I finally got Queen Anne blocked. Here she is pinned out on my bed.
And released from her pins.
The yarn is Knitpicks Shimmer in the now discontinued color Cumulus.
Rylea says, "You don't seriously expect me to wear this thing, do you?"

I'm personally opposed to "rules" in blogging (and I don't just say that because of the ginormous hiatus I took). "Goals" are something else altogether, of course. I say one should never apologize for their knitting or their blogging. Just do yer thang. The voyeurs will deal. :)
Oh, and I know I said this on FB already, but I would just like to reiterate the the shawl is outlandishly gorgeous and you should feel very proud. :D
Wow! That is one gorgeous shawl. The Friendship Blankie is looking pretty nice too.
Best of luck with your family situation.
Thanks, y'all.
