I Found Out

It looks like another one of my little bluebonnet seedlings has given up the ghost.

That leaves just one out of an entire packet of seeds I planted.  I've come to the conclusion that bluebonnets simply don't want to grow outside of Texas.  And yet, I'll still plant them...I'm persistent like that.

I'll move that last one, plus the one lone Bachelor's Button that germinated, into bigger post this weekend, then plant something else in my trays.  I've got some sunflower seeds I collected from plants I grew last year, so I'll give those a try.

In work news, I found out why we were off Saturday.  Seems the plant had ordered a new Vitally Important Machine needed to make some Vitally Important Parts, and they'd given us the day off so they could install said Vitally Important Machine.

Alas, the Vitally Important Machine didn't arrive, so they couldn't install it.  And me being me, my first thought was, "I wonder if it got hit by a tornado?"

Depending on where it was coming from, that is a real possibility.  Over the last ten days, there have been more than 3000 warnings issued.

That storm system is still going on, too.  It's not quite cleared the East coast, so this number will likely increase before it's all over.

By the way, one of the local meteorologists confirmed that the little funnel cloud photo I posted yesterday was indeed a funnel cloud, though I'm not sure if it had touched down yet.  I know they were tracking it through the Rosebloom, Cascilla, Tillatoba area, which is mighty close to home.

I took the better part of valor and went and sat in the bathtub.  I almost wasn't able to get back out.

Um, yes, I could!  I got back out just fine!

I don't want to talk about it.

I wish I knew of a solution so you could get your blue bonnets. We have Lupines like mad up in our area. You should be able to get your blue bonnets!
