Unless you've been living under a rock lately, you probably already know that Isaias strengthened to a hurricane during the night last night. That means for the first time in a long, long time, the ol' Jim Cantore Repellent candle finally got lit.
As of this writing, Isaias is a category 2, and is expected to make landfall somewhere between Mobile and Pascagoula late tomorrow night/early Saturday morning. I'm far enough inland to avoid the worst of the flooding -- it's not the wind, it's the water -- but we're still expecting some wind and rainfall. I do hope we get some rain. My poor grass is downright crunchy. They dropped our chances from 100% to 95%, but those are still pretty good odds...although our chance of rain last Sunday was 80% and we didn't get a drop.
Other than that, I'm about as ready as I'm going to get. I don't really expect the power to go out, but I've got plenty of batteries this time, and I'm going to make sure all of my power banks are charged up tomorrow. Plus, I've got plenty of Vienna sausages and a camp stove -- just in case.
Anyway, I went in to town to do my shopping after work today to avoid the rush tomorrow and discovered something quite different in my Walmart app. I'd opened it to try to find where they'd moved a certain product I was looking for, and look at this:
The app tracks your location in the store now. I suppose it's helpful to see where you are in relation to where the item you're looking for is, but I find it's just a bit creepy.
You know what's not creepy? Pansies.
I don't usually plant cool weather flowers, but I think I'm going to go ahead and put these into the planter where my now quite dead rosemary is. I'll put these around the edges and put a new rosemary into the center -- once Walmart gets some back in stock.
And finally, I tossed some of my crimson clover seed into a bare spot in the back yard. I haven't seen any signs of germination yet, but it's still early. Maybe I'll get some.
If I don't, I've still got plenty of seeds.

The pansies are cute. The walmart app has a neat option, if you are in the aisle of whatever you are looking for, you can have the price tag flash, so you can find the item. The tracking thing is creepy as heck, though. We are all getting tracked *way* too much nowadays.
I didn't know about the price tag flash thingy. I'll have to try it next time I'm in Walmart. You are definitely right that we are getting tracked way too much! Heck, when I was a kid, my mother locked me out of the house and didn't even know where I was most of the day. Now parents are tracking their kids everywhere -- when they even let them go somewhere by themselves, that is.
