I woke up this morning after a too short night of sleep, and the first thing I did was check the election results. And God has extended his hand of mercy once again over these United States, and has given us a few more years of grace.
Alas, if we don't turn from our wicked ways, one day his patience will run out and he will say, "Enough is enough" and that grace will be no more. Listening to chatter, reading comments on social media...it would seem we have become so steeped in evil we no longer recognize wickedness even when it up and slaps us in the face. We've become a nation that calls evil good and good evil (Isaiah 5:20), and surround ourselves with teacher who say what our itching ears want to hear. (2 Timothy 4:3)
God has a lot of patience, but even his runs out eventually.
OK, in lighter news, the Starry Night hat is making progress.
I mean, it's 13" of hat in sock weight yarn, then the crown decreases, but it's still so fun to knit. I've already picked out the next yarn I'm going to cast on.
I bought this at last year's Fiber Fun In The 'Sip, just for the name of this colorway alone.
Isn't that the best? I'd actually cast on a sock with it, but after the incident with the errant toenail, I frogged it and re-caked the yarn for a hat.
I guess that's it for today. I'm still adjusting to the time change, and woke up this morning at 2:00, and couldn't for the life of me go back to sleep, so I'm about to go hit the hay.
Catch ya on the flip side.
