Just popping in to let you know I’m still alive— somewhat. It’s been so hot in the plant this week, I’ve come home and haven’t felt like doing anything but slouching limply in my recliner.
Today was no exception. This is the actual temperature at my work station.
Factor in the humidity, and you’re looking at a heat index of around 114°. We were literally getting sick out there, and it’s supposed to be even hotter tomorrow.
Dude, it’s so hot my stalker won’t even come out onto the shop floor to stalk me! Well, you know what they say about every cloud having a silver lining. There is mine.
By the way, just a gentle reminder that this is not the outside temperature that I’m looking at through the window of my air conditioned living room. This is my work station— the one I have to stand in for 8 hours a day, with my only relief from the heat being the five minutes I go to the bathroom.
Just one more day to get through, then I’ll have a long weekend during which I can guarantee no mowing will be done.
But at least when I’m mowing, I can come inside and cook off. That’s more than I can say for when I’m at work.
