Finished Object

Just a quick post while I'm waiting for the National Memorial Day concert to start on PBS.  Not much else has been going on today except for watching movies and knitting.

I started with my WWII movie, Memphis Belle -- the one with Matthew Modine, and a whole host of other stars that were big in the '90s.

Then I watched Pork Chop Hill for my Korean Conflict movie.

I wanted to watch Glory as my Civil War movie, but it's not available on any of the multitude of streaming services I have, so that was a bust.  Then I decided to watch Shenandoah with Jimmy Stewart, but it also isn't available on any of my streaming services.  I'd also thought about The Free State Of Jones, but again, not available on any of my services.  BTW, my cousin Richard was an extra in that movie, and has actually found himself in one scene.

Oh well, there are a few options on Tubi I can watch, and in the meantime, I've ordered the Blu-Ray of Glory, so I'll be ready for next year.

While all of that was going on, I finished a second charity hat.

This yarn is an absolute dream to work with -- especially for Red Heart.  I'm definitely going to buy more of it in the future. But for now, I need to take a break from knitting charity hats and whip out a quick baby hat for my great nephew.

Then I'll need to seam the sleeves on his sweater and sew the buttons on and it'll be done.  I guess I'd better get to it, then.

I think I saw Memphis Belle, back in the day. Memories!

I like how the colors of the hat turned out. That is really pretty yarn. I've been working with red heart a bit lately and I've noticed the yarn feels a lot softer than when i first started knitting.

You had an easier day than I :-) It was a busy day for us up here. It will be a blog post at some point this week.

Right after I posted this, all heck broke loose. I'll be blogging about it here in a little bit.
