A Day For Upsets

The Chargers upset the Colts, and Cody is upset about that.

The Giants upset the Cowboys, and I'm upset about that.

That's enough. I'm going to bed.

Wow. Sorry about that, Becky. I didn't watch the game, but I saw all the post-game commentary on SportsCenter.

Next year? Simpson-less, one assumes...

Too weird! my verification word: "esppn." I kid thee not.

Opal, I think the Packers will put the whopping on the Giants. They were able to take advantage of Tony's inexperience--that of the whole team even--but Brett Favre has been around too long to make the same kind of mistakes Tony was making. I believe the Packers will get the job done.

Buck, it was sad all around. The first half was good, but then they seemed to get the yips.

Simpson-less indeed. She won't want to stay with him now that he is a loser. Bad for her image.

That is too funny about the word verification!

My cable box went out after the Chargers game so we couldn't see the other game; a Colts fan and I were IM-ing all during the game as neither of us could relax enough to knit. I am a Chargers fan but pointed out to her that it has been 13 years since they were in the playoffs, so she shouldn't feel too bad and it wasn't an @ss whooping, it was a nail biter of a game. Hubby likes that, I don't. I want a clear and wide victory. I like your socks.
Oh, and I had to laugh at my word verification too: excsno; no exercise for me!!!

Bobbisox, I am like you. I don't like the close games. I get too nervous. I like a clear and wide victory as well.

One of the higher ranking men in my style of Karate used to work for the San Diego Chargers. Naturally, he is really excited about this year. I've met him once, at a seminar. I have a picture of the two of us together. So this Sunday, I'll be rooting for the Chargers and the Packers.

Toby read an article last night calling Simpson "Yoko Romo". Pretty funny!

Now that has to be one of the funniest things I've heard lately!! So who's "Paul" to Yoko's John...errr... Tony?

LOLOLOL!

I would have liked to have read that article. I never really followed the Beatles, before or after their breakup. I know who Yoko Ono is, but don't really get the reference.

Yoko is seen by many as the person who broke up the Beatles. Whether that is true or not is debatable, but she was certainly a wedge - from the Wiki article.

Becky G said...

OK, thanks for explaining, Lou. I still would like to read the article. Is it online?

I think he was reading the sports on Yahoo - probably on Monday evening,

Oh, well. Once they are off the front page, articles on Yahoo are almost impossible to find. Thank you anyway.
