You hear it all the time.
Every day is a gift. Appreciate each one. Live life to the fullest, because we're never guaranteed an tomorrow.
It's almost become a cliche'. Then something happens that drives it home. In a hard way.
I found out today that one of my coworkers had a heart attack yesterday and died. She was young, too. Younger than me. She seemed to be in good health, as far as I knew. Happily married, with at least one young child.
I didn't really know her all that well, but she was always very nice to me. I'm still in a bit of shock and disbelief.
So, even though it's a cliche', I'm going to say it again.
We aren't promised a tomorrow, so live each day as if it were your last.
It very well could be.
