Things I Wonder About

How did those people stay on that island all those years and the batteries in their radio never ran down?

How did they stay so clean without soap or shampoo?

Why in the world did they bring all their clothes if they were only going on a three hour tour?

Why did the Professor bring all his books on a three hour tour?

Why did Lovey bring all her jewelry on a three hour tour?

Why did Thurston bring all his money, and what good did it do him without a place to spend it?

How did all those other people keep getting rescued off the island, but not the original seven?

How did could they have gotten so far out on a three hour tour that no one could find them for three years--even with a storm blowing them off course?

Why didn't the Skipper check the weather report anyway?

    Can't help you with the rest of it, but the Professor rigged something to recharge the radio batteries - one of the few bits of semi-believable technology in the show since batteries aren't actually that complicated.

    Now compare "Gilligan's Island" to "Lost" which I have only seen a few times, but is definitely a different sort of show and social era.
